This year marks the 30th anniversary of a unique-to-ATX event, slated for Nov. 18 at the Travis County Expo Center. The Austin Powwow and American Indian Heritage Festival promises a celebration of Native American heritage via a rich tapestry of traditions, dance, music, art and food.
Enjoy beautiful dance performances, showcasing traditional regalia and storytelling through movement by folks from across the country, at the Grand Entry. Then, explore a marketplace brimming with authentic arts and crafts, sample Indigenous cuisine and engage in workshops poised to explore the contemporary issues facing today’s Native American communities.
