End-of-summer road trips

by The 100 Companies

While the living is easy (and breezy), make plans to hit the road for a good old-fashioned end-of-summer Texas road trip.

Marble Falls, 1.5 hours northwest of Austin, is perfect for lounging (the eponymous swimming spot is part of the largest chain of lakes in Texas) and exploring, especially if getting an inside gulp on the craft beer scene is your thing.

Fredericksburg, under two hours due west, boasts Wildseed Farms – the country’s largest working wildflower farm – and clusters of wineries, ripe for the crushing.

Or, lace up your hiking boots and head for the hills of Texas Hill Country.
