Ballet Austin announces 15 local celebrities playing Mother Ginger in the 60th Anniversary production of The Nutcracker

Since 1997, Ballet Austin has welcomed local community leaders into the role of Mother Ginger in its annual performances of The Nutcracker, celebrating their generous contributions to Austin.

For the show’s 60th anniversary, which runs through Dec. 23, Ballet Austin is welcoming 15 local celebrities into the guest role including Antonelli’s Cheese Shop Owner Kendal Antonelli, Austin PBS CEO Luis Patino, and Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce CEO Fang Fang.
