Thursday, Oct. 17 marks five decades since Willie Nelson stepped onto the iconic wooden stage at PBS Studio 6A to record the inaugural episode of “Austin City Limits.” More than 1,000 recordings later, PBS wants to hear from fans – without whom the truly special musical journey wouldn’t be possible.
Folks are invited to make a personal recording that details what ACL means to YOU! Touch on tapings you attended, episodes you remember and stories or memories created against the backdrop of the longest-running music program in television history – the only one that was awarded the National Medal of the Arts.
