Summer camp for a cause

by Sally Schroder

Did you know that summer break poses big challenges for at-risk youth who thrive on routine?

As summer nears, consider giving the gift of overnight camp to ATX-area youth by supporting Austin Sunshine Camps.

Since 1928, the nonprofit has provided free overnight camp programs – at no cost to participants – for students in foster care and those whose families meet the income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced school meals.

Boasting four sessions, over seven or 10 days at two locations (Lake Travis and Zilker Camp) – all aimed at youth ages 8-15.

Consider changing a young person’s future by donating today.
