Texas Restaurant Association celebrates ’70 wins in 70 Days’ ahead of new Sept. 1 Texas foodservice laws

by The 100 Companies

The Texas Restaurant Association is celebrating historic wins from the 88th Texas Legislative session. TRA’s advocacy efforts helped champion three industry pain points as operators battle heat waves, rising food costs and inflation.

The new foodservice laws effective Sept. 1 will:

Save restaurants money from repeated and duplicative permit fees and meaningful property tax relief.

Prevent the implementation of extreme and unnecessary regulation, such as mandated automated and predictive scheduling.

Expand child care access and affordability, as these two areas burden foodservice workers the most.
