Austin startup selected for Google for Startups Black and Latino Founders Fund

On July 13, Google for Startups announced the recipients of its fourth Google for Startups Black Founders Fund and second Latino Founders Fund, which respectively provide promising Black- and Latino-led startups non-equity cash awards to help fuel their businesses.

Jerold McDonald – CEO of Omaiven Health – was among the recipients, which include six in Texas, totaling $900,000 invested in Texas startups. Austin-based Omaiven provides workflow automation for clinic operations.

Google has backed 547 founders through its Founder Funds globally since 2020. In the U.S., they’ve backed 226 founders who’ve gone on to raise $190M+ in follow-on funding in the U.S.
