Google Arts and Culture and San Antonio partners bring local arts and culture online

by The 100 Companies

On June 9, representatives from Google, The Texas Historical Commission, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenburg and Congressman Joaquin Castro, as well as Marc Anderson, CEO of Visit San Antonio, officially launched a San Antonio-specific Google Arts & Culture project page at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

The immersive online experience features 60+ curated stories, 1,600+ artifacts, 100+ videos and five sites captured in 360° street view. The program allows individuals to explore diverse parts of San Antonio’s culture, from the history of the Alamo to the present-day confluence of cultures, including Indigenous, Latino, German, Black and Asian.
