For more than four decades, Women & Their Work – a nonprofit visual and performing arts organization in Central Austin – has catalyzed cutting-edge ideas in contemporary art created by female artists who call Texas home.
Since 1978, the nonprofit – one known for its pioneering spirit, embrace of artistic innovation and commitment to Texas artists and audiences – has developed the careers of more than 1,900 artists in a myriad of media, spanning visual art and theater to spoken word and film, by bringing groundbreaking art to Austin.
“Paradise Bloom,” an exhibit exploring “What is paradise and who creates it?,” runs through Thursday, July 6.
