Texas Water Utilities and Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas surprised a local teen with an in-home recording studio on her 18th birthday.
Aly’s parents built her studio from scratch in their backyard and Texas Water Utilities furnished it with recording equipment. Volunteers helped assemble her studio furniture and presented a wish basket including home decor, desk supplies and posters of her favorite bands.
Aly has a metabolic disorder and has gone through a pancreatomy, or the removal of her pancreas. She will attend Texas State University in the fall while living at home and majoring in forensic anthropology and psychology.
