Celebrating Black history at the Carver Museum ATX

by The 100 Companies

The Carver Museum ATX is celebrating February in style with a copious calendar of programming in honor of Black History Month.

HBCU Day is a chance for local students to learn all about the history, programs and opportunities available at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and glean application assistance and financial information direct from the source.

Been Here: Queer, Black and Proud is an evening of short films celebrating Black LGBTQ+ independent filmmakers – complete with cocktails, a drag performance by Amber Nicole Davenport and a panel discussion including director Nathan Hale Williams, moderated by Jeremy A. Teel – the evening’s co-curator.
