Ballet Austin’s Stephen Mills pays tribute to philanthropic Austin couple with Sarah’s Songs – Feb. 10-12 at The Long Center

by The 100 Companies

In appreciation of Sarah Goodrich Butler’s generous support and leadership of Ballet Austin, and her husband Dr. Ernest Butler, the dance company will premiere Sarah’s Songs, a trilogy of dances, on Valentine’s weekend.

The Butlers established Ballet Austin’s Butler Fellowship Program, with tuition-free dance training; the Butler New Choreography Endowment, which funds new dance works and the Butler Dance Education Center, home to the ballet company.

Assembled by Stephen Mills, Ballet Austin’s Sarah & Ernest Butler Family Fund Artistic Director, audiences will enjoy George Balanchine’s Serenade; Jessica Lang’s Garden Blue and the world premiere of Stephen Mills’ I Am The Monument.
