Thousands of college students across the state are now eligible for free tech workforce training via Google Career Certificates, designed to put Texans on the fast track to employment in high-growth fields. Students can earn skills in fields from data analytics, e-commerce and digital marketing to IT Support, automation in python, project management and user experience design.

In anticipation, 60% of jobs will require a postsecondary degree or certificate by 2030.

Governor Greg Abbott praised the program: “Texas will continue developing its tech industry talent pool into a highly-skilled workforce that is ready to grow and thrive in our booming economy.”
