Texas Mutual awards $3.5 million in grants to nonprofits serving Texas communities

by The 100 Companies

Texas Mutual Insurance Company, the state’s leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance, has awarded nearly 50 Texas nonprofits more than $3.5 million to support their efforts in workforce development and safety training.

These grants complete the second round of the company’s larger $7 million commitment in 2022 to support nonprofits that are creating a stronger, safer Texas.

Grant applicants were evaluated based on upskilling and reskilling initiatives, apprenticeships and safety training programs and their commitment to create pathways for in-demand middle-skill jobs. Funding was distributed across the state and supported underserved communities.
