Following May’s tragic school shooting at Robb Elementary School, Texas RioGrande Legal Aid opened a new civil legal aid office in Uvalde – its first office opening in over a decade.
Funded by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation, the state’s largest funding source for civil legal aid, the new office provides direct access to state-funded legal services for Uvalde residents and surrounding rural communities.
“Reestablishing a physical presence in Uvalde will undoubtedly improve access to our services so many desperately need,” said Robert Doggett, executive director of TRLA.
