Since opening its doors 136 years ago, several spooky spectres have been rumored to haunt downtown’s Driskill Hotel.
The first tale is of two brides, who – after being jilted at the altar one century apart – retreated to Room 525 and killed themselves. One roams the halls wearing a Victorian gown; the other carries a pistol, before vanishing into the fateful suite.
Guests have also heard the giggling of a child who tripped and fell to her death on the hotel’s grand staircase while chasing a ball (which bounces audibly after dark).
Then, there’s that cigar-smoking ghost Annie Lennox experienced first-hand.
