‘Cakes for a Cure’ benefits breast cancer research

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kerbey Lane Cafe is celebrating the quest for a cure with an especially sweet treat: chocolate covered strawberry pancakes.

Even sweeter? For the remainder of October, all profits from the cafe’s pancake special will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Center, which envisions a future where no one faces breast cancer alone.

What began in 1980 – with made-from-scratch comfort food served out of a bungalow on Kerbey Lane – has blossomed into a community of family-owned restaurants across the region.
