Whet your appetite for fine art – at no cost – every Thursday at the Blanton Museum of Art.
Renowned for its collection of Latin American art, and Ellsworth Kelly’s monumental “Austin” – a 2,715-square-foot stone building with luminous colored glass windows (closed for renovations through Nov. 1) – the Blanton offers a perennial source of joy and contemplation.
Special exhibitions on display now include “Painted Cloth: Fashion and Ritual in Colonial Latin America” (on view through January 2023), as well as Ellsworth Kelly’s rarely seen postcards and new works by Njideka Akunyili Crosby.
Free admission is generously provided by the Moody Family Free Day Endowment.
